The Forum in Photos:

This past week I was in Tunis, Tunisia for the second edition of the 2019 Youth Forum in the Arab Region! It was a great experience to see the hard work of the youth participants all pay off!

Stage is all set up!

Bombalouni is basically what Americans call fried dough but in a donut shape, with lots of powdered sugar absolutely delicious!

Influencers from the Arab Region discussing the importance of the ICPD, access to family planning, gender justice, and equity. A particularly moving account was from the Founder of Babyfist, a Palestinian company that simultaneously makes ethical locally sourced clothes, funds women and girls empowerment programs, and runs menstrual hygiene projects to teach girls about their bodies.

Participants in the workshop focused on Youth Friendly Programmes and Services

Audience at youth Ted Talks!

Ministers from the Arab Region giving feedback on the Youth presentations about their products. As you can see, like everywhere in the world we need more women in high level government positions.
